I noticed that I always seem to have a drop of transfluid hanging from the bottom of the spin-on filter. I've removed and inspected the gasket and reinstalled w/o change. Even torqued it down so that the gasket was fully compressed and the filter lip touching the case/mount. Does not leave a spot on the floor nor show any appreciable implact on the fluid level. Is this normal/common or has anyone else experienced this?

I ran into the same thing with hassebachs truck after I did hid mod. The spin on filter just didn't seat. I threw it away and put on a new one and problem solved.

This was a new replacement filter ~ the original didn't do it and I was suspecting that the filter itself may be squirrely. Oh well, draw another one from my garage stock. Mike L ~ thanks for the response.
