Have been having problems with my 2005 Duramax Crew-Cab 4X4. Has a Banks 6-gun installed, and thought I was having trans problems. When pulling, and accelerating, the truck would stumble so hard you'ld thing the back end of the truck was going to fall off. Threw codes relating to insufficient fuel rail pressure and injector six, and egr open. Went into limp mode, which the Banks clears, and ok for 800 miles, then repeat. (EGR and 2 injectors replaced earlier under warranty) Finally, will not start after getting home, and after missing when shut off the night before. Dealer is now replacing the computer, saying that is the problem (banks removed prior to going to dealer). Any ideas???. I travel a lot in the desert and unreliablity is not an option

I have a question as well, this past weekend I experienced some wierd stuff. I was driving along, (no load, normal driving) and all of a sudden the truck started surging. No power, and acted like it was fuel starved. I was about 10 miles from my destination so I just kept it under 50 and the truck would run fine, if I gave it any pedal it would just fall off like it was going to die. I had NO codes or warnings on the DIC and I was running on level 2 on my Juice/Attitude. I got home and let it sit overnight, then the next morning I unhooked the Edge and it seemed to run fine. My question is, did I experience limp mode? Could a fuel filter cause these symptoms without the DIC throwing a code? I hate to think that I spent $950 for the Edge setup and it is bad. I have noticed lately it being a little sluggish, but not to this point. I am really hesitant to take it to the dealer because it isn't happening without the Edge. What do I do?

Alot of the Edge problems have been related to heat. How hot was it while you were driving?

It wasn't really hot, maybe low 90s. I was real aware of all the guage readings, even EGTs. Nothing seemed to be out of the normal. At first, it was real bad and I couldn't accelerate over 30, then as I drove it got a little better. I could make it to 60 at the very end but if I tried to go over that it would stumble and act like it was dying. I have never experienced limp mode so I guess it could have done that, but don't know why. Like I said, it was mild driving, not overly hot, unloaded with no trailer. I drove it home yesterday (was at the lake) and it seemed to do fine. I even romped on it several times and no problems. Of course I haven't plugged the Edge back in, kinda scared to. I will probably plug it back in this week to see if it does it again.
