I posted this in the "ask the techs" forum, no replies so I thought I'd try here. I don't have the new fan right now so I haven't torn into it yet, just asking about what I might expect when I do.

Well, I pulled a real boner move the other day, left a tool where it shouldn't have been when I started the engine. Of course it took a trip around the fan, broke two blades, aarrgghh...
To R&R the fan clutch, I'm looking for hints, tricks, special tools needed? I recently did a Ford water pump on a 300-6 van, needed special tools to remove the fan clutch, PITA w/no room.
