: Exclusive Photos of New HE Turbo for Duramax!
hasselbach 06-04-2004, 06:23 PM These photos are exclusive for only The Diesel Place members. They are not intended to be sent to any competitor until our patents are finalized due to the hi-tech nature of the product design.

This photo shows the initial set up with the exclusive Turbo Sonic Ring installed. We are working with AFE to design a Pro 7 filter to fit over the Sonic Ring. The Turbo works in conjunction with the stock Turbo to increase boost immediately upon demand through a simple, OFF, Low, Medium, High switch. Some users report faster warm ups using the High setting at start up.

This shot shows option 2 with the HE unit installed as a Blow Through unit, however the Sonic Ring is not included with this installation, thus the boost increases are less than option one.
To date we have been unable to finish our track testing since we have a bug to work out. It seems at the 1/8 mile the truck lays over and loses power. We think it might be due to the extension code unplugging, therefore we will continue with our testing once another 660 feet are located.
Pricing will be very reasonable, and we will include a 1320 foot extension cord, along with an attachment that the wife can use at the campground to curl her hair.

Rollin' Thunder 06-04-2004, 06:26 PM What an idiot you are. You should be using an underhood power inverter instead of an extension cord.
McRat 06-04-2004, 06:33 PM Wonder how big a shot of (hair) spray it can handle?
hdmax 06-04-2004, 06:38 PM The answer is INVERTER Get yourself a power inverter, I have noticed that by plugging the turbo blaster (That is the name of the set up that I sell) into the power inverter and using on-board battery power we have unlimited travel.
Now I would not give this information out too just anyone. So please keep it to yourself.
hdmax 06-04-2004, 06:40 PM What an idiot you are. You should be using an underhood power inverter instead of an extension cord. Have you been the one spying on our shop after hours? If you weren't from the Diesel Place I'd be upset.
DMax_Doug 06-04-2004, 06:57 PM The DG-MaxFlow I'm currently selling on E-Bay uses a 1200W inverter.
I think the new beta unit I've been testing will decrease 1/4m times by at least 2 seconds by simply holding down the "CoolShot" button during the entire 1/4m run. (No confirmed times yet as I've had to operate the unit myself under the hood while the wife man's the cockpit.)
PS. I won't be able to sell the unit in States that have large, low-flying insects due to liability concerns. Nearly lost a couple teeth to one of them zicadas during testing.
McRat 06-04-2004, 07:01 PM "Well, we ran it at the track, but it only ran 18.0. I guess we had a 'bad hair' day..."

I offer a sky hook power cord option for that type of setup. You do need approval from each state before traveling, but other than that its a great product with easy setup and includes 14ga wire, shielding, all connectors, hook mounts, and full video instructions. Guaranteed up to 200 horsepower gain depending on your application. If you purchase before June 4th you also get a lifetime warranty. Call 1-800 fisizzle
Good luck with your new product!http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Thumbs Up.gif

McRat 06-04-2004, 10:13 PM I believe www.kalecoauto.com (http://www.kalecoauto.com) will be carrying them after the beta testing is complete.

Mike L. 06-04-2004, 10:42 PM I prefer the "tornado". But I realize that I am so much more technicaly oriented than you guys. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/HiHi.gif http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Cool.gif

Mackin 06-04-2004, 10:50 PM I would go with a solar panel ... No additional drag on engine and it's environment friendly ...
You may even qualify for a grant for r&d ..

Yes, but you forget that the Tornado when installed in North American spins in the clockwise direction, which delays time, hence retards the timing. Modern dual-axial flow hair dryers are vane-compensated to eliminate the timing issues.
I'm surprised you haven't read about that in Popular Science.

You just had to go and make me look dumb, didn't you.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Ermm.gif
McRat 06-04-2004, 11:08 PM PS - I actually have met a guy at the track who used a gas-powered leaf blower to supercharge his LT1 Camaro motor. It was the one of the weirdest things I'd ever seen, and no, it didn't work.
McRat 06-04-2004, 11:18 PM I'm new to the whole diesel scene, but I would think that dual (non-sequential) hairdryers would be better than one big one. Spooling time would be decreased. Maybe even use 2 variable vane (stock 2004.5 Clairol) units.

He can't use "real" Duct Tape. This is only a Beta version and he has to give it back TO HER when the testing "she finds out" is done.
Mt. Hunter 06-05-2004, 02:21 AM Tape... kinda the same, only we mounted a little seat on the firewall. We had a girl sitting in there holding the blower. The voltage converter worked ok, but the girl kept using that blower to fool with her hair. So the power wasn't real consistent. Tape is a good idea.....why didn't we think of that?
Horse Trainer 06-05-2004, 03:47 PM Boeing had 300 mph duct tape for repairs so a plane could be ferried - a friend keeps trying to find me some at salvage.

I suppose all great (or just down right wierd) inventions had to start somewhere.
A vision of Christopher Loyd comes to mind (from Back To The Future) The bug eyed look, when he got an idea.
What do you guys say, when you set something on fire?http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Geek.gif
