: Suncoast Ohio Dealers
Mr. Mark 08-25-2006, 06:07 PM Hey guys,
Any one out there (particularly Ohio) heard of Enterprise Engine Performance out of Thornville, OH? I spoke with John from Suncoast and he gave me this place for tranny work. I was just wondering if anyone has used this place and any comments, good or bad.
As a side note, I have been seeing alot of comments on tranny builds, and everyone seems to have a different opinion. Some say you need a full tranny exchange, and then others (IdahoRob is one) who have gotten along fine with a Transgo and convertor. Mike L., I talked with Tom Fredericco and he said he had you install the Transgo and convertor and that is all he needed. Very confusing to hear different opinions, especially when new to the scene. I want a tranny that will hold up to 500-600 rwhp for playing on the street with some towing. Just don't want to spend money now and then do it again cause of the wrong combo, and yet don't have all the money in the world to spend either. Comments Mike? Eric? Anyone?

I never did any work for Tom Fredericco, someone else did. If you are planning on 500hp or more you will need a built trans. You can buy a Suncoast stage 5 or ATS if you are looking for a complete trans. You could opt to have a rebuilder install a SC 4 ( or do it yourself ). If you are going to push the 600hp envelope, I suggest having a professional do it for you.

Dmax Tim 08-25-2006, 07:22 PM Where are u located?
I've got a local diesel shop going to do my SCIV in the next week or so.
I'm going to help them and they want to get into more tranny work.
Diesel Pilot 08-26-2006, 12:09 AM EEP does a lot of Dodge/Cummins work. I have never heard of them working on a Duramax/Allison, but it never hurts to call.
They do some amazing work on Dodges though.

Brayden 08-26-2006, 02:24 AM I can build you a Stage IV, I'm west of Indy about 30 miles.
Mr. Mark 08-26-2006, 09:47 AM Thanks guys for the replies. I will look into the matter more. I am out of Wilmington, Oh for the time being.
ecc_33 08-26-2006, 12:12 PM yes eep can build some amazing cummins engines but dont build so hot of a automatic dodge....in my opinion i wouldnt let them touch a tranny out anything
06GMCLBZDMAX 08-26-2006, 04:35 PM I'm in SE OH and in the same situation. No close choices for trannys. How about Crank It UP Diesel? Anyone had any work done from them????

kyle03 is a vendor here and ATS dealer only.
db9938 08-26-2006, 09:13 PM I live in Wilmington, too. Have you tried Woodruff?
AndrewFessler 08-27-2006, 01:00 AM I;ve seen a Woodruff Diesel modded truck around, looked good, sounded good...and pulled good too.
(I dont know much more than that.)
06GMCLBZDMAX 08-27-2006, 09:11 AM I know Crank it Up is a vendor here. Anyone had any work done from them????
Should I consider them a guru just because they are a vendor here?
06SIXSPEEDMANUAL 08-27-2006, 09:36 AM Kyle and Matt do good work, I would give them anything of mine to work on, but they only do ATS trannys, they don't deal with suncoast. They're located 35 miles northwest of columbus.
ecc_33 08-27-2006, 09:44 AM kyle and matt at crankitup did my cousins stage 3 ats fass lift pump and sleeves and centerlink...they did a very good job and truck performs great
jugdish35 08-27-2006, 10:57 AM kyle and matt did my trans work also, and not a problem at all. they know their stuff.
06GMCLBZDMAX 08-27-2006, 01:18 PM So do you guys see much difference between the Suncoast & the ATS?
db9938 08-27-2006, 06:00 PM FWIW Woodruff advertises ATS, not Suncoast. I am not sure if that makes a difference for you?
They do at least post their prices, and thats a plus for planning things out.
dmaxalliTech 08-27-2006, 08:14 PM YOu can get prices from anybody with a phone call or email.
toy fever 08-28-2006, 11:55 AM Kyle and Matt did mine. Stage 3 kit with C4s. I have not had any problems at all. They also installed an ATS stage V in my brothers dodge. No complaints from either of us.
3-Fan 08-28-2006, 12:11 PM I drove up to Eric's to have him do my SC Stage 3. Well worth the trip up there. He does some special things to the tranny that many local people probably don't even know about. Do it right the first time with an experienced installer.
lawnboy01 08-28-2006, 08:57 PM Kyle and Matt did mine. Love it. Has over 25 hooks on this year with no problems. Drives great on the street. They are great to work with.
dmaxlly 08-29-2006, 09:23 AM Kyle and Matt did my trans and my Dad's trans and no problems at all. Both trans work flawlessly. Great guys to deal with. They know their stuff.
Good guys all around..
