Wondering if there is any way to tighten up the door seals on this truck. I have a 2005 Chevy Silveraldo C/C 4 X 4. Seems like more dust is getting inside the cab than staying out. Its not coming through the vents. The door jams are just packed with dust. Is this normal on these trucks?:(

I assume you mean dust inside the door, but outside of the weatherstrip? Sounds normal to me. Welcome to the black 4 door truck society. :D

Yes I am talking about between the door and the weatherstripping but also it is finding its way inside the cab. Doors might be rattleing over the washboard on the roads and just coming in?
No problem. Paint the truck silver birch metallic. :D Keeps the dirt at bay. Had a black vehicle....once.
Sorry, just havin' some fun. Good luck if it's an actual problem. ;)

There is nothing you can do dust will always find a way in it may help to clean and oil up the rubber seals like with ArmorAll. You might get a HVAC filter kit from Bac it will help some too there is a link in my garage.

You can try and tighten the latches a bit for the doors in order to put a little more pressure on the seals.

You might want to try to use the door sill weatherstripping that's on the older Avalanches/Suburbans. It's a little pricey. About 130.00 each side. It appears to keep most of the dust out.

This is on my 2005 blue Silveraldo not my black 2005 sierra. Color looks the same in the dark.:)
