: PPE dual fueller ?
gasuout 08-25-2006, 04:06 AM :) The way I see it PPE thought it out a little more.Since the PPE Pulley is designed to run 1 to 1 with crank.Same as stock pump.So both pumps turn identical to each other. If the pulley is any smaller than this, then other brand pumps are being over driven compared to stock.PPE did have to make some idler changes to accomodate the pulley, and did it well. There is a reason. It is to drive the pumps equal to each other.I dont think it was to make it a billboard.I also think it looks good.I like it.Looks very good, the pulley is cleanly machined. The kit ,the instructions,Everything I need is here.Very happy. As for the electronics dont know whats best. But I trust PPE in this department.I see that the kit and the parts in it are all very high end, especially the fuel line.(High Pressure) Looks Factory.I guess to each there own,I would have done the same thing if I made it.(put my name on it)Isnt there a spec on the pump as far as RPM limits, wouldnt you want to turn the pumps the same speed.Makes sense to me.What do you guys think. Here are pics.

Complete kit,Great instructions,High quality.Will post when finished installing,Gasuout
If I dont like the writing Ill just paint it black, kinda like it though.:thumb:looks good
We'll see doesnt change quality or performance.
gasuout 08-25-2006, 12:37 PM Didnt catch pics till now.The PPE pulley 7.5"s so there isnt any real difference I see.Other than 1/2 inch.??And a weaker looking bracket.Time will tell I guess. Both seem to be good stuff. The high pressure line is most important.Has ATS released a LLY version yet.Thats what mine is. .All we can do is use both types and report how they compare.I'll report on my PPE pump kit and all you ATS pump guys report on yours. We will know soon.Cant wait to finish installing.
Report back soon.Gasuout (I have to make a few intake mods due to Kodiak intake different than all yours, dont see any problems though.)My intake comes out between AC and alternator. Will be making a spacer for intake to raise just a little.Looks easy , will let you know.Or just get rid of egr and use other manifold for 2500 hd
gasuout 08-25-2006, 02:51 PM Ideas on best solution, heres some pics
Really need to keep stock air box.If I can.Any thoughts would be
helpful.Im going to go and bolt everything on and see for sure,I think the belt is going to hit intake right where the boot rides on manifold. Also manifold looks like it wont clear fuel line.I'll check back later,Thanks

Any Ideas ?,05 LLY, or what manifold to try and make work here?I have a few different ideas, thought maybe somedody might have better idea. Also how big are your intercoolers,Mine 57" wide,Tank 42"Lx20"W is that bigger than 2500hd?

gasuout 08-25-2006, 04:27 PM Dont really know ,But do need advise in thread I was moved to
PPE duelfueler ?
My manifold is in the way of fuel line.
You guys know more about these trucks than I do.
Alternate manifolds Ect.Sorry for posting ?? here just saw everyone that would know in here.:) Thanks
Max Payne 08-25-2006, 04:44 PM Which manifold? Intake? Exhaust? Not sure I understand where the issue is, but I am not real familiar with the 4500 series trucks. I would suggest having the person at PPE who engineered the kit take a look at it. Might be a real simple solution. Sorry I can't be of more help.

gasuout 08-25-2006, 05:04 PM Yes Ive talked to Joe . I m talking about the intake man. is in the way of fuel line path to pump. The intake from intercool goes in right between AC and Alt.Would need to bend line alot. Was looking for cleaner way.Joe thinks I should get rid of everything,EGR tube,4500 int. man.And go with 2500 lly man.Thats going to mean interference with air cleaner box.Air Box true Cold Air intake through hood.I guess Im kinda screwed a little , without bending line alot.??????:(
hdmax 08-25-2006, 08:10 PM gasuout,
You will have to buy a new 2007 Kodiak with the upgrade option. They are going to have a Duramax with 330/620 and the same as 2006 package with 300/520. I know you already have more then that, but it will be nice having an higher output to start with in 2007 models.
gasuout 08-25-2006, 10:36 PM Yes Ive thought about that, just pretty happy with this truck.Took alot to get to where Im at.Its hard sometimes making parts meant for 2500 work on 4500.PPE is more than happy to help me make this work. Its just going to take some custom pieces. We will probably take 2500 LLY lower intake manifold, install it.Then take all EGR crap off.And to keep my stock air box we will take 2500 upper intake and cut it and turn it to come out the front.
Will take a little more work, but will be very clean looking. And down the road very soon bigger turbo. The install is so much easier without all the EGR junk in the way.The Kodiak is also very easy to work on turbo, because of dog house access.Thank for replies.
