Hey Guys & Gals,

Looking to stock up on some fuel filters for me and my father-in-law for our Dmaxs. So far a price of 20 bucks each is the best price, but the filter is a FRAM. I'm aware that all the DMAX fuel filters are made by Parker/Racor...right?.... but still feel a little wierd about it. Also saw some for 28 bucks (better than the $40 plus from the dealer). I am interested in a quantity of 10 so maybe some discounts for quantity. Any help would be appreciated....http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif

Thanks,

JP

It is my understanding that the only difference between the Fram and the Gm part is the paint on the can. I am pretty sure Eric sells Fram. You might want to contact him.

If I paint the can on the Frams, you wouldnt know the difference. Open them up, they are identical in every way and shape and color. I run them on my truck as do many others.. I know they say Fram, but they are ok, I promise

Oilguard has Racors $16 each if you buy 6. With shipping I paid $17 each. Havn't found a better price yet.

Whoever is the cheapest including shipping. Only one company actually makes them.

Curious what the micron ratings are. Baldwin's are 5 microns.

Remember, Baldwin claims they are 5 microns. IIRC the most popular spec was up near 7-8 microns. Even the Baldwins are Racor made

Thanx Eric. At least the Baldwins are as reputable as anything else.

Yes, Baldwin does not catch any slack in the "name brand" dept.
