Trying to undo what my dealer did to my truck. Put in reg lube into my G80 locker. I am in the process of doing a rear lube myself and while I was at it, was going to do the front. I went to get the white axle vent # 12479296 and was told it was put on GM "hold". The dealer said that a new part # 12479390 was to supercede this. Any truth to this?

Just picked the vent up. Same price and the new color is beige/tan. Also has a blue o ring as a gasket.
