Used the remote start to start my truck Monday morning as I do everyday. Let it warm up about 3 minutes before I drive off to work. Get in it and have a message. Service brake system, and the yellow ABS and red parking brake light are on. Truck has all of 4,600 miles. I shut the truck off, let it set a minute and restarted. Same thing. I thought, well I'll back it up a little to see if I have brakes and I did. I started to work thinking now I have to call the dealership first thing this morning and get my truck in for service. Got 100 yards and the lights went out and the message went off. Haven't seen it since. The service manager where I bought the truck is a friend of mine said it probably did not store a code of any kind but if it happens again try to get it in as soon as possible, especially if the lights and message stay on.
The question...has this happened to anyone else and do you have any ideas what may have happened?

My guess would have been a faulty wheel speed sensor. When you first start the truck the computers within your truck run self test to ensure all circuits are complete and sensors and within limits. Your ABS system does this also, except it can not run test on the wheel speed sensors until the truck is movining one direction or another. The computer probably threw a false code out but did not store it and once it saw that the wheel speed sensor was indeed fine it turned your light off. Had this happen on several occasion to several different cars, just keep on eye on it. You wont looose your base braking just because the ABS light is on.

I've been getting that off and on for a long time now when I use my remote start. As soon as I get up to about 10 mph, it goes off. Never had it happen when starting with the key. Hasn't happened the couple times I was at the dealership and they didn't find a code. Plan to have them check it again next time I'm there for service.
