Hey,
I have looked into purchasing a leveling kit for my 2500. I've looked around forums, etc and have read about some problems using the factory shocks as they are not designed to handle the additional 2" lift even though they may seem to work okay.
I haven't yet purchased my leveling kit, but I believe I am going to go with the Pro-Comp kit and their shocks. Hope this info helps!
I'm considering doing it.

well with my money situation ill probly keep my stock shocks untill i can afford new ones. but i have a hook up at 4wheel parts so it wont be much off a problem. i ordered mine from www.topguncustomz.com (http://www.topguncustomz.com) there in TN. and there steel and not poloyurthane, i heard that the poloyurthanes are not good for diesel and v 10 applications.
but top gun customz seems pretty good they contacted me and thanked me for using them and are throwing in a free sticker. and the were cheaper then the daystar kit wich is $130 and the top gun is $99, but ill get some pics up when its done.
my only other concern is that a freind told me a guy did it on his and it sat high in the front and not level.
but when all is done it will be on 35x12.50x16.5 bfg muds and im getting a set of 16.5 steel whels and having them powdercoated gunmeatel silver by a friend http://www.houstonstreetwars.com/powder RJMotorsports

I have the poly's and so far no problems, they have been through alot, I have done some heavy wheelin, trucks even been up in the air several times with pretty rough landings. I am sure you will be safe in either case. Good luck.

Hey Dodge-5.9,
I cannot recall if it was in this forum or elsewhere, but I did read about a person who installed a leveling kit with stock shocks and blew one of them going down the highway. It might be a safety issue. Some of the companies say you need the longer shocks -- others claim you don't. After reading the post about that, I'm going to go with the new shocks when I get the extra time and $$. :o)
