i have a 96' dodge 2500 cummins 2wd the fuel gauge dont work. it always stays at empty with the fuel light on. do i just need a new gauge or do i need a sending unit in the tank or sumting.

You most likely can get ready to drop the fuel tank and replace the sending unit. Pretty common problem.
