Just wondered if anyone had a good explanation for this one...It went off yesterday when I was hauling some cows to grass. I'm pretty sure it was because I didnt have my copilot adjusted right for the load I had.....but just wanted a better explanation of the code if anyone knows...

Thanks in advance!

that means you have a code stored in the TCM...

I take it the predator will not go beyond 700 then? Thats the code it gave me...I dont think the predator cleared it either. I tried twice, but I think it just went away after a few startups.

A predator cannot clear a TCM code.

It will show you what it is but not clear it.

A QUADZILLA or BULLYDOG tuner can clear TCM codes.......

the problem is the predator won't communcate with the TCM to see what codes are stored there. i didn't think the quad/bullydog product would either but maybe i'm wrong.

P0700 is the opening to pandoras box. This code states that we have a trans problem ( all 700 codes relate to drivetrain) and you need to read on to find all the related codes. When I say read on, I mean scan further because P0700 only tells you which computer picked up the problem. In this case it is the TCM ( transmission control module).

Thanks a lot guys. This is better than any other helpline! I'm not too worried about my tranny though....Its a complete ATS setup...I know the first couple of shifts were pretty bad b/c I had the copilot set for soft shifts and that didnt work so well towing 15k. The best shifting was after I turned it off and let the truck do its own shifts........

I assumed that all the tuners that stated you could read codes actually gave you specific codes, not just general ones. But, what can you expect from a $350 gadget?http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Ermm.gif
