I had my truck into the dealer yesterday for what I thought was going to be injector(s) failure. Fuel was leaking on the passenger side of cab at a rate of about a quart every 5 min. Left truck with them at about 8:00am and got call about 10:45am. Service writer said, “your truck is ready". I was stunned to say the least from the entire negative I have read, and heard about the 01 injector’s failures.
So I ask, what was wrong? Writer says, “we found a loose fitting on number three injector, tighten it up and its ready to go".
Question is, has anyone ever heard of, or had this happen? And on side note, I did not get a call from Writer before they repaired the leak. That being said, I was not given the chance to tighten the fitting myself and save the $100.00 they charged for the deductible.
