I am in a position to get four Eagle 058 rims for free and I would like to put BFG 285/75R16 tires on them. The eagle website says that the rim has a 8 lug 4" backspace and 0mm offset. I have cranked the t bars and would like to know how this set up will work before I dish out the cash. I know that most guys run rims with 4.5 backspace but I,m stumped about this.

I'm running those rims w/ 285s but thought they were 4.25" BS. I do have some rubbing even after strapping some things back BUT I have NOT cranked my torsion bars any. I'm going to try to strap some more (it caught on the liner and cause it to flare out alittle so now its rubbing pretty bad so I may have to trim part of it away) to get rid of my rubbing but may have to do some cranking. As you can see in some of my pics in my garage, the clearance is tight as it sits right now.
