Changed my fuel filter today and finally the plastic water in fuel seperater/sensor decided to give out on me. A piece of the plastic broke of the center. Rather than buying another plastic one from GM and humoring them http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Thumbs Down.gif, is there anything made out of stainless or something other than plastic for them? I think I have seen something like that before but I done some searches and couldn't find anything. Also is there a special tool for removing the water in fuel seperator/sensor on the bottom of the fuel filter?

Thanks in advance,

Matthew

Coming soon, my samples should be back shortly.

You can buy replacement sensors from www.gmdieseltech.com (http://www.gmdieseltech.com) or your local dealer.

The cushioned handles on a pair of large slip joint pliers works pretty good and doesn't tear up the faces on the plastic. If it's too tight for that, a large pair of parallel jaw pliers works well too.
