When I came here, I didn't really know much about my new truck. PMD? What the heck is that? Now I understand much more. Frequently the threads are asking for help with our trucks and it seems as though this site is about fixing old beater trucks.

Here one can find info on upgrades that will increase the capacity of their trucks as well as the longevity. Discussing ideas, successes, and horror stories too. This site has been very helpful to me and has many talented and good members. (With the exception of the occasional meat condiment) Just wanted to say thanks for all of the help and info from all the 6.5ers.:thankyou2

Ditto that! Well said.

I am very new to diesels and have found the people here to be excellent on sharing info about how to keep them running tops.

Thanks!

I'll second and third everything everyone has said regarding this forum. My 6.5 is the first diesel I have ever owned. I am no stranger to engines, but diesels are certainly a breed of their own and most definitely threw me a few curves when I first got it. Thanks to the many people on this forum willing to share valuable information and personal experiences. My personal thanks goes out to all of those people.

This forum is a HUGE asset to all old-school GM diesel owners, -and it is by and large one of the "tightest" internet communities I have ever run across.

I have to 4th that, or whatever number we are up to!
I am ASE certified, but not in Diesels. I have not seen the ASE test for diesels in a few years, but bet I could pass it now just from what I have learned on this forum.
I bought 2 6.5's last year, never owning a diesel before. This Forum has saved me a lot of money and time, the guys here are extreemly helpful and have made this a real learning experience.
Many thanks to all that have contributed to The Diesel Place.

Me too. Thanks to all, I'm on my vacation out in the Black Hills right now. With towing a 7700 camper and temps in the upper 90's I glad I took several of the suggestion from this site on vehicle preparation. 1000 miles in 3 days and all is good! My wife and kids don't know it but they thank you too.

Without being corny, I'm thankful every day. I would be lost without everything I learned here.
