: LBZ does not seem so fast now???

Am now used to the power of my LBZ?

I don't race around, tow sleds or 20K pound trailers, but I do floor it once in a while and power just seems pretty decent for a truck. When I get on it, I don't hear a lot of engine noise, experience face wrinkling g forces or smell smoking tires. However, when I look at the speedometer, I am always going faster than I thought.

After about four months, it just seems more like; "run of the mill , pretty fast". Not, "holly $hit, what the hell is this?" fast, when I first bought it.

Do I need to drive another truck (maybe a Ford) in order to re-understand the power contrast of fast and slow trucks?

When you get used to them and the fact that they are so big it's easy to think that. Get a tuner and bring back that new "fast" feeling.

I always think i'm moving a lot slower than i actually am in my truck. As soon as i feel a good "rush" of power i'm hitting the limiter

... and it feels like im doing 70.

Mine feels like a rocket until hits 4th, 5th and 6th gear. Are these things detuned in the upper gears. It may have 360 hp but it's at the higher rpms. My chipped 03 had twice the low end sack of my 06, great for putting the hammer down around town, not so good when towing. I have 3K miles, maybe it will come into it a little later.

Diesels fool you! They don't make all the winding up sound of my small block chevy hot rods, but if you are not careful you are doing 70 on the blvd and seeing red lights! :eek

I was rolling along in the dark in the desert listening to C,S,N & Y with a giant Lance Camper on an 02 dually (12K lbs.)! Red lights, 89 MPH! The Nevada cop was nice and let me of with 10 MPH over the speed limit and a $50. fine with no point! A cheap warning! Careful! They'll foolya! :exactly:

I've been stopped for going 1mph over... the way i see it theres a base price then you pay for every mile over. Might as well make it count!!

Look out for Mustangs and Camaros and such at redlights and when you pull up beside them, smile from ear to ear and then leave them in your dust when it turns green.

Your truck is bad fast and you will make some kids real mad at you for beating the ARSE!!!:ro)

BLOCK IT, STICK IT, CHIP IT AND FORGET IT!!
