I have a banks kit to put on my 6.2 and I was going to replace the ip. I was doing some ebaying and found a guy that sells rebuilt injection pumps. He was selling one that was a bumped up 6.2 ip and the other was a marine 6.5 ip. In his description on the 6.5 pump it said that it would give more power. Would it do any noticeable power? If so is it worth the extra $$

It would probably give it more power. Just remember... More fuel = More power :cool2:

can't you just turn the fuel on the old pump up. i have done it. it is not hard and ads plenty of power.

You could, but keep in mind this motor has a turbo... To get maximum power you need even more fuel... :cool2:

The 6.5 pump makes more fuel because it has bigger plungers & also delivers it faster than the 6.2. If the marine pump is really a 6.5 marine pump than it has bigger plungers yet & has the ability to deliver more yet.

Do you think it would be worth $200 price diffrence? Has anybody try this? If so how much of a power diffrence would i notice. Also would I be exceeding the capablities of my stock injectors? Thanks for the help

Whether it is worth it or not depends on how much you want power... The 6.5 pump could theoretically boost your power quite a bit.
