Started collecting parts for my intercooler and this guy showed up today:) ( got info from other intercooler threads here )

PENINSULAR part # 2335520, probably a GM # as it's cast into the part.

60.00 plus shipping.

MAJOR improvement over stock and MUCH easier to fab with over stock plenum.

Is there a place to put the boost sensor?

You have to tap it.

What is the outside diameter of the inlet?

You have to tap it.

I mean the map/boost sensor.

YUP, you have to tap it;) Not sure but it looks like your basic 1/4" NPT tap, same as your boost guage.

You have to tap it.

Cool, thanks for the info. I'll order mine some time soon. I bought all of my parts on ebay a little while ago. Now, I'll have to make time to install it and build that new brush guard/cow catcher to protect it.

You can mount the map sensor away from the manifold and run a signal hose to it. It is not neccisary to have it mounted directly to the intake horn as the 6.5TD has it. You can pull the silicone o-ring off the bottom of the existing map sensor and there is actually a barb there for a hose connection. All GM map sensors are this way, just the 6.5TD has it mounted this way but it is pretty much the same part as any GM gasoline speed-density fuel injection system map sensor.

Dow! That's easy. It would have taken four hours or more to fart around and try to mount the darn thing on the manifold. That's a piece of cake! Thanks.

hey cool fool, how are you planning on mounting your ata ? are you doing a front mount like factory S.D's, dmaxs and cummins? im looking for something like that for my truck because where i go, hanging it low is just asking for problems

Would there be any benefit as far as HP,to install this plennum if I have no itercooler?

I'm going to mount mine straight up just under the radiator, remove the bumper and do kind of a split bumper with a heavy flat steel box covered by that new honeycomb expanded metal. A new full custom grille guard will be included. I'm using one of those 31" x 12" x 3" ic's. The bottom of the ic will still be higher than the front diff. I figured the increased airflow from mounting it straight couldn't hurt.
