Anyone set a code 234 ?
Code 234 is Over boost according to my source.
Traveling this week end I set code 234. Turned it off with the Quad box. The code did not reappear coming home and running hard at times.
I was running on Quad 110 setting and Attitude level 4, though driving normal when I noticed the Service Engine light. Of course I had been "playing some" on the trip.Edited by: gmccall

Code 234 is Turbo Over Boost.
I never stack boxes, so I can not say for sure. However, I do set the 234 turbo over boost running the Quad Stealth set on the 135 hp setting on occasion. I have never set it on any other power/torque setting. And I have never set the code running a clean or nearly clean air filter. Nor have I set the code running near normal driving conditions. Always while trying to set a new land speed record.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Clap.gif
It is had to say what would/could set the code while stacking boxes. Sorry!Edited by: hdmax

Mine has all the reflashes on the false over boost codes, yet every time I go to a lower altitude, I set the code. That is without any power enhancers. I am beginning to think that I have gotten oil from my air filter on the MAF sensor, as I have only seen 26lbs of boost, and it doesn't set the code then, but much later when I am not using the boost. I wonder if the ECM has a map of expected boost vs rpm, and when that is out of kilter it sets the code.

Not only that but a map of expected air flow Vs Rpm as wellhttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Approve.gif

gmccall, I'm runnin' same stack. I get 0234 when cruising @ 70-80 mph. (never when racing)... I get it about once a week.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Ermm.gif...BTW, which version Stealth are you running?...Does Quad 215/H.J.#5 stack without any side-affects??

eds04max,
I have the latest(?) Quad 215 (Feb 04) box, though I run on 110hp setting with hot Attitude(145 hp) on level 4. I have run the stealth 215 by it self. Awsome feeling but I get a little surging and the idle is very lopey so I don't run the quad 135 or 215 all the time. Quad said he could make the idle less lopey but with a little power loss.
I have tested the Quad 215hp stacked with my old hot juice 125hp, but not with the Attitude 145 hp level 5. I would think it would be the same. Made only short bursts with the stack. Its a wild ride and would tear up any stock tranny for sure. I'm not even sure my Stage II Suncoast tranny will hold. Also, I have not been to the track yet with this setup, but I need to get there. As for running the Quad 215/HJ Attitude145 all the time.......I believe the stack would run okay all the time if you can live with the lopey idle from the Quad and a little surging at times. In Quad's defence, remember, the Quad Stealth 215hp box is advertised as a "race" box and was not designed for street use.
For the record, I too was cruising @70-75 when I set the code.

Thanks Steve - My SES comes on at low RPM, but I see some boost at that time. Sounds like first thing to do is eliminate the MAF by cleaning it.

According to an article posted by Diesel Tech in another thread, a 234 code will set if exceeding 5psi for 12 or more seconds on two consecutive ignition cycles. This sure seems easy to achieve, as pulling any kind of hill can almost guarantee exceeding this threshold.

For the record I never set a code while running only the Hot Juice 125 hp box( no Attitude).
Stacking boxes may be the problem or one of the boxes by it self.
Oh well, I can erase any code after reviewing them, and making sure I have no problem.

Geez - I exceed 5psi for 12 seconds all the time - you are right - easy to do.
