Gotlift 06-01-2004, 02:47 AM Has anyone ever done a differential gear change with a D/A. I went with 35" tires. I would like to go to some 4.56's but have heard of some problems with the TCM. Mostly concerning the ABS system. Can any of you clear this up for me? Thank you Fred G 06-01-2004, 09:15 AM If you can offset the increase in tire diameter with a decrease change in gears, you'll be back to "stock" overall gearing, the computers should not know the difference. And then your allison will shift "normally" again and your ABS should function better (although that's probably a debate all by itself). Just a rough guess, your 35's resulted in an increase in overall ratio of 17% or so. You would need to go from 3.73's to something like a 4.50's to get back to something close to stock..... A good 4X4 shop should be able to tell you exactly what you would need to do if anything else is needed.... | ||
