I keep looking around at all the different programmers, and most of them say they defuel during shifts. Does anyone have one like this? Is the defuel noticable? How much time would you shave off the quarter if it didn't defuel and the transmission was built?

Any help would be appreciated.

Even if its built you need to defuel to keep from frying things. Even things that claim to not defule just mean they dont defule as much for the most part. How much you feel the defule depends on the tunning, some are pretty much seemless. JMO :)

You asked about the feel of a defuel. I have my PPE Xcelerator on Level I and anything over about 3/4 throttle I can feel it a little. WOT empty it's there but when it hits the next gear it pulls so hard you forget about it. Now, towing the boat and going WOT the truck practically falls on it's face until it hits the next gear. It's the most noticebale in the 1-2 shift and sometimes 2-3, the others are fine.

Anyone have any idea about how much 1/4 time this defuel is responsible for losing? I would imagine it's more that 1/10 sec?

Call Joe at suncoast and tell him to build you a trans and warantee it and that you have a 500RWHP truck and have tunning with absolutly 0 defuel. Even the TTS Xtreme on a LB7 had a bit of defuel in it. ;) My guess is that your 1/4mile times will suck it you smoke your trans and have to coast to the end ;)

My 12 Valve didn't defuel, and DTT was able to make a POS 47RE hold up to almost 1000 lbs of TQ. One would figure that an awesome trans like the Ali should be up to the task with no problem.

PS Flame suit on
