I was dricing yesterday around 60km/h when a car turned out aheard of me leaving me no choice but the slam the brake pedal to the floor and flip him off. Shortley afterwards I applied the brake and the Parking Brake Light came on and it became very hard to brake, for example I'd have to push the pedal down the the point where the ABS starts shaking it, and it would still be longer than usual to stop.

I don't know very much about cars and was wondering if anybody has any idea what could be wrong. I'm taking it to the mechanic but I just wanted to see if anyone could provide any insight.

check your power steering fluid level because these things have hydro-boosted brakes that feed off the ps pump. and of cource check brake fluid level/condition
