I started noticing that when I turn off my truck it squeals. I have tried it with the a/c on and off. I have tried to see if it came from the turbo or alt, but I'm just not sure. Any ideas?

Mine used to do that...It was the belt tensioner pulley.

IIRC, the max's compression is high enough that when you shut off the key, the engine stops so abruptly that the belt skids on the pulley(s) a little. That is probably the squeak you are hearing.

It's normal. Most diesels do it.

Mine didn't do it the first couple thousand miles, but it does do it now at 4800 miles.

Yep, mine does to. It has 10,000 miles on it.

Mine used to do it. It also chirped when the A/C compressor kicked in. I put on a new Goodyear Gatorback belt, and it has never done either since.

I thought something was wrong with mine til I went to a CT dyno day and every truck there did it...

Good year lists gatorbacks for our trucks, part #s and all, on their site. I called around about a month ago and no one i talked to could order it. I called Goodyear and they said they'll start making them in September... figure next year we can get them...
