Does anybody know where I can get wheel well guards to protect the front and rear wheel wells from rocks / salt spray during the winter?
The front is somewhat protected in the 1/2 way up the wheel well but then the top is fully exposed metal (which I think is stupid).
I want to be able to protect all 4 wheel wells from rocks / salt spray so they dont begin to rust and also protect the salt from being sprayed up under the bed of the truck and the bumper so it doesnt rust as well. Its difficult to wash up in that area.
Any ideas on who makes these or where I could get something like this? Or will this be a custom fabricated project?

There is no metal exposed other than the frame in my front wheel wells. For the rear they to make mud flaps and plastic panels to keep stuff off the underside of the bed, but there not cheap I made my own as several have done.

I did once see the rear as well covered as the front on a 99-02 1/2 ton not shure if he made it or bought it, I would continue searching you might find someone who makes them .

See my garage for the rear wheelwell - it's an inner piece that I bought from GM that installs in the front of the rear wheels...supposed to keep the rocks and stuff from hitting the rear brake calipers.
Is this what you're looking for? If it is, it's Part No. GMT800 "Flap Kit" from GM...was $48 Cdn. for the pair.
I just sprayed mine down with canned rubberized undercoating. Works great! Others have opted to have them sprayed with Line-x or Rhino lining when they have their beds done...but at great expense...they do look good though! :)

jedmax, I found this graphic that somebody posted a while back here in the fourm. From what he said his wife did the drawing, but I cant remember his name off hand.. I think this is what you purchased. I also want to make something that covers the top part of the wheel well, because just the cintrifical force that those tires have @ 60mph w/ rocks flinging out of there is bound to dent / chip the underside of the exposed metal wheel wells.

BTW, the bottom dimension that is covered up is 7 1/4"

Ya that fender bracket area gets really dirty with mud and rocks and sand. I too would like to put some type of guard there so that when I spin tires in mud it doesnt shoot it all over insdie of bed area under truck..

Enigma Man,
Yes, the pattern looks right. Only thing dfferent is that my GM flaps extend down further as the intent was to protect the rear calipers from debris.
The curved area of the pattern should match the curved lines of the inner truck box. Make a template out of cardboard first to ensure a good fit.
