I fired my burb up last Friday after a much longer than expected engine and trans rebuild and replacement.
On initial start up, I was getting a much louder than expected injector knock. It would get louder and then quiet down, almost gone, then come back very loud. When it warms up it runs rough and hunts up and down while idling.
I have good oil pressure, 55lbs and the knock is definitely not comming from the bottm end. It sounds like a hard injector rap.
I pulled the trouble codes and got a 19( crankshaft postion error) and a 34( injection pump advance?)
My thought was the advance solenoid on the side of the pump was bad or fluttering and or the crankshaft position sensor defective.
Anyone else?
