i have the edge on my truck and the other day my brother was getting cocky with his civic del sol, so went we out and i put him back in his placehttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Clap.gif but after this i was driving in t/h to cool the tranny down and noticed when the tranny down shifted on decel the edge showed slip, it got as high as 39%. it has been doing this ever since. i can't get it to slip under acell which is a good thing but i am still worried about the slip on decell. my Q is, is this normal and i just didn't notice it before or do i need to save up for a triple disc.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Cry.gif
btw the truck is an 03 cc dully with 106000 on the odo. any insight would be appreciated.Edited by: rocksam

When your torque converter is not locked the edge will show slip. It is not slipping but because of the way the edge calculates it, it thinks it is slipping.
Completely normal. Congrats on the 106,000 miles in 1 model year!http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Clap.gif

I noticed that too. just tap the pedal and it will go away.

the monitor shows that the tcc is locked that is why i am worried. i am mostly wondering if the attitude is getting confused because of it being decel or if my tcc is going out. wouldn't tapping the accelerator bring the tranny out of decel mode?Edited by: rocksam

i Finally figured it out on my own.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif when the tranny downshifts it takes a sec or two for the attitude to show the lower gear so it seems to be calculating as if it was in fifth when it is in fourth and showing slip because the numbers don't jive. does this sound right to any one else?
