Polarbear 05-29-2004, 01:04 PM I noticed it for the first time last night, and did it 3 times this morning, when i start up, about 5 sec after startup theres a distinct thud coming from somehwere under the hood. I dont beleive its in the tranny, becuse i havent put in gear yet...Anyone have a clue??? Thanks Adam... Dmaxcan 05-29-2004, 02:29 PM Don't know for sure but I have heard a thud from under the dash, I always assumed it was a door of some kind in the heater / defrost ducting that was closing. Polarbear 05-29-2004, 08:54 PM Crisis averted....ive got manual dual climtae zone, and air is always continously coming out from the vents even w/the fan off, i move it over to defrost to direct air upward..well i guess that runs off the air conditioner compresser/solenoid or whatever it is...switch it to flow air towards me or the floor, thud gone...http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Embarrased.gif sixfoot 05-30-2004, 10:46 PM When I turn the air conditioner or the defroster on , I here a thud also.
