when backing up and abrublty push in the clutch (disengage), I get this hellascious clunky clunk noise, did it since day one, does not do it if you press the clutch in slowly when backing up.

I think it's just a function of the way your unloading the clutch/tranny in reverse. Cure??? You might want to have the dealer check into it, but it might only be a "normal" amount of driveline movement. Jeli 10-13-2003, 02:37 PM I've got the same thing. The drive shaft is pretty big and the dampener/balancer whatever next to the pinion adds to the inertia in the system. | ||
