02duramaxx 08-11-2006, 05:31 PM Ok I am buying my dads 2004 lb-7, Which i thought was a lly, but I checked the vin and it is indeed a lb-7, I have a 2002 now, with a Edge/Attitude, will this work on the 2004??, And is there any difference in the 2 motors, does it have the same turbo?, And will I need to put a fingers stick, and egr bloker in to run a cat-less exaust, Thanks in advance!!! Ogre 08-12-2006, 07:05 AM I believe it is the same, but with better chance of no injector failures (injector improvements made to the 03 and 04's) Not sure about the edge, but the attitude should work, since it is mainly just a monitor/controller. as far as the cat goes, it probably doesnt even have one, unless it was originally sold in a state with state epa regs. requiring one. My 03 doesnt have one (Indiana). jeramooshin 08-12-2006, 08:43 AM It is an early 04 like mine then. It is the same motor as your 02. No egr, no cat. Edge will work on it. I wanna put a tts exhaust on it and i think i wanna take the cat off.... Get rid of the CAT. I think only the California model's had CAT'S on an 04 LB7. Make sure it's an LB7 though. If it is you don't have an EGR, therfore no need for a Blocker plate or Boost stick. Get a Banks big head or one of the many in-line boost inhancers from our good people on this site.
