I know there are probably many posts on this but I need a quick answer. I need to replace the rear diff in my 2003 HD2500 because it is now an open rearend. What is the best locker or solid posi to put in now??? Want NO MORE one wheel wonder. Thanks for the quick replies!!!

I dont know a whole lot about the after market when it comes to this question. If we do any up grades in our new trucks we use the Eaton locker availible over the counter at any GM dealership.

These units are a complete basket replacement and work as if it was factory. Im sure there are some better ones in the aftermarket, for normal applications the GM one works quit nice.

as far as i am aware of, there is no aftermarket yet. what seems to work is the units out of the dodges(the common rail ones) everyone that has them likes them

Dodge uses a torsen (torque sensing) diff. Drops right in and IIRC (you'll have to run a search) it's around $650.

The one the dodge uses is called a TracRite. It's the same type of posi as a torsen, but it's not actually a torsen brand. $542 from Randys ring and pinion. I like mine, but i'm still getting a detroit locker when they come out.
