I installed the cab clearance lights on my 06 CC yesterday. I got to the part of plugging in to the power supply on the PS panel on the right side of the dash. They have changed the wiring harness. It does not plug in there like the earlier models do. Does anyone know where the connection is now? Thanks for any help.

Plug your trailer wiring harness into the black box located under the dash on the drivers side. The brown wire on the harness is hot and will work just fine to power your lights. They will come on with your headlights and will flash on and off when you use your remote locking device. This is the procedure that i used.

Did you use the stock Chev 3500 marker lights or aftermarket units? How was the installation and of the lights? Do you have any reservations about them being waterproof?

I ordered them from Cabelas. The brand is Pacer and cost was $69.99. I believe some people have said this company is the supplier for the lights to GM. I installed according to instructions given in the Do-It-Yourself section of DP. It is not difficult - just take time with measurements and double check. One thing I did different was I made a template out of cardboard. This way I could set the light on top of the template and push the mounting screws through the cardboard creating a hole to make it easier for marking the exact spot to drill holes on the roof. The instructions say to use the light itself to mark the spot for the holes but, the light has a plastic insert the screw screws through. There is nothing that holds the insert in place unless the screw is screwed through it. It's hard to mark the place for the screw holes with the screws in place and it's difficult to get the holes marked just right without the insert in place. That's why I made the template. I used lots of silicone on the screws and the hole for the wiring. Also, instead of grounding each light individually with one of the mounting screws, I connected each ground wire to a single wire and then grounded inside the roof by the overhead console.
