: Computer keeps resetting?

Ive got a problem, well at least i think so. I believe the computer resets itself everytime I turn off the engine the reason I say this is because the clock is always at 12 when I start it and it never keeps my programmed radio stations, not only is this an inconvenience but it is concerning me as to whether maybe the previous owner did it on purpose to hide the SES light coming on, I have heard of always shutting down and restarting a vehicle on a test drive because some the codes dont throw a light until its restarted. Anyway, does anyone know a place where I can start looking to fix this? TIA

Computer has no effect on the radio clock or stations. Either you have a constant power feed problem, a radio problem, or if an aftermarket radio is installed they may have swapped the constant and switched power wires. Check fuses first, if non original radio, many have an inline fuse, pull the radio to check.

check CTSY and radio fuses. The radio fuse supplies main power to the radio, the CTSY fuse supplies memory power to the radio

unless the CTSY and radio fuses are somewhere else on the truck other than in the main fuse/relay panel on top of the drivers side fenderwell then there are no CTSY or radio fuses on the truck that I am aware of. The radio is factory FWIW

PS If it means anything I did look in the "normal" spot for the fuse panel afterwards under the dash by the drivers side kick panel and it was just a little gray box that had wires runnin to and from it but all it said was the color of the wires ex. DK BRN, BLK etc...

there is a fuse panel inside the truck with those. In mine, if you open the drivers side door, its on the side of the dashboard, the part that almsot touches the door when you close it. A small triangle panel that pops out.
