He’s doing it again. My dealer is trying to find a way to deny warranty on my Allison.
He has already asked the area rep about my “ODLO mod”. He didn’t even know about the July 2002 “GM Tech” article describing the 5-4-5 hunting and the lengthy instructions on how to install the GM parts to provide ODLO.
I went on the Tech site and printed the July issue, and then gave it to him, along with a couple other articles from “the Place”.
First it was the Banks brake and it’s tie to the temp sender in the block, now the ODLO circuit. What will he do when he finds Nick’s filter? Probably void the entire truck.
How do I protect myself from him? It appears that he is trying to use any excuse to void the warranty. My stomach can’t take much more. When he calls I start shaking out of fear.
I thought the Magnussen-Moss Act required the dealer to “prove” that the mod/addition caused the malfunction, and it would void the warranty on that specific part, not the whole engine/transmission. It appears all this guy has to do it say “you modified the XXX” and I am dead.
Does unplugging the TCM set a code that it has been unplugged????
How can I fight this guy??????
Thanks for letting me vent, but he has me scared. I don’t even have a black box.
