Ok I have a 2006 lbz which first had a power pup and no other mods and smoked quite a bit. I since then put a MBRP 5" downpipe back no kitty with muffler, fingers stick/blocker plate, and a Triple Dog with outlook at really have little to no smoke at all even on the extreme setting. Just curious if this sounds right to you guys. Also running an 8" lift with 36" tires.
Also idle is about 3 pounds of boost and taps out at 29 pounds really quick and stops. Is this normal? I'm guessing the wastegate only allow this much or something?

Pretty new to the diesel world, but it just seems like there should still be a lot of black smoke with this tune maybe I'm missing something just want to make sure somethings not wrong.

Its not smoking because she can breath now. Smoke is power you see not power you can use. I guess.

Makes sense, I guess I just kinda thought maybe I wasn't getting enough fuel or something. She definetly runs good and strong.

Another question is an aftermarket intake really worth it on these trucks?

black smoke is unburned fuel so now you get it in and get it out the right way.

You could be driving mine.. It smokes all the time when I get on it.. And its sock... YIKES!!!! Dealer had a strange look on his face when I told him I could stomp on it going down an on ramp and make all the cars behind me stop due to not being able to see.. LOL

Mine made 24 stock and makes more on the higher programmer settings.

He said it gets 29lbs with the triple dog on high setting. And just for future reference, your truck does not have a wastegate.

Also idle is about 3 pounds of boost...

You have boost at idle? I don't get any boost until I hit the throttle. :eek:
