So in your opinion, whats necessary to hold something like 150 extra hp.( In the tranny department, allision that is)

Transgo...minimum.....I wouldn't overlook the converter either. Thing of it is, you might as well go farther with the tranny the first time, it will be a lot cheaper to do it nice then to do it twice......Suncoast Stage 3.....I would personally recommend.

A Transgo will hold a 150hp just fine......the converter becomes the weak link. There are plenty of people here running just a Transgo and a Triple Disc Converter with more than 150hp just fine........Diesel Power, Peanut, Diesel 5, Dmaxallitech......just to name a few.


Sorry, I have misleading info above.....not all of them have a triple-disc....I was just trying to point out that they have just a Transgo and are holding fine.....I would still recommend putting in a Suncoast Level 3 since you are taking it apart and the initial price wouldn't be much more.Edited by: BIG DIPPER
