Fireman 05-26-2004, 09:35 PM Man that looks good!http://dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Thumbs%20Up.gif
I love the hood! what brand is it, and is the front bulge the same height as the stock? It is kinda hard to tell with the raised cowl.
Excellent job!http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Clap.gif

goin' pullin' 05-26-2004, 09:42 PM Fireman,
The hood is actually for a 1500 due to the fact I wanted to be one of the first with a cowl hood on an HD. The brand is Goodmark and it is steel. There isn't a front bulge due to being a 1500 hood, well not as much as an HD. I think they make a cowl hood specially for the HD now.
Thanks for the compliment,
Matthew

I have the Trenz grille as well.. makes it look tough!
hey i've been looking at grill's, love yours just what i've been looking for. what model number is it?
goin' pullin' 05-27-2004, 08:37 AM adam,
Go to www.trenz.com (http://www.trenz.com) and look up the part # below, it is almost easier just to search for products for your model truck. The POL on the end means polished and that is the one I have. They have the same grill in polished and billet (non-polished) form.
01-02 CHEVY 3/4 & 1 TON FRAMED PERIMETER GRILL POL
(Product ID: 2201-CFPP Year: 2001-2002)
Hope this helps,
Matthew
sycloneGuy 05-27-2004, 12:29 PM Matthew,
Great look. Notice any difference in cooling??
Dave
Here's mine. It's a "Great Outdoors" natural gas.

goin' pullin',
That's a clean looking grill. If it's aluminum billet, keep it treated with wax or better yet that stuff they recommend for wheels that cost like $100. Billet alum is hard to keep from hazing out.Edited by: hoot
goin' pullin' 05-27-2004, 07:38 PM sycloneGuy,
Not a big diffrence in cooling that I have noticed but it may let a little more heat out. Keep in mind a diesel needs to run warm. Thanks for the compliment.
hoot,
That's a good one, gotta love someone with a sense of humor. My question is did you have a pic of your grill for some weird reason or did you take it just for me?http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif Thanks for the suggestion on the wax, you would probley know with them rough winters in PA. I keep it treated as much or more than my paint, the winters in central IN are pretty salty. Thanks for the compliment.
Matthew
thanks for the info pullin, is yours the cut out or the bolt over version? btw the truck looks great.
goin' pullin' 05-28-2004, 08:35 AM adam,
Mine is the cut out version but it is a easy install. You actually leave some of the mesh of the factory grill around the edges for the framed perimeter of the Trenz grill to attach to. That way you don't have to worry about a perfect cut on the plastic around the grill shell.
Thanks for the compliment,
Matthew

The grill looks great!
the bowtie is a cool personal touch, but not my taste.
HATE the 'Icy blue' bulbs. ~Leave those to the ricers.
