I need to remove my mirrors to have them painted. I took them part way off and noticed the wiring goes down inside the door.
Do I have to pull the whole door panel to disconnect the mirror?
Thanks!

Yes, you will need to remove the door panels to unplug the mirror harness. You'll have to pull the lock slide out to get to one of the screws by prying it out from the front. You also need to remove the panel around the door handle, carefully pull it out. The other screw is below the armrest. Once the screws are out pull the panel up and it should slide right off, but don't pull too far, there's a bunch of wires that need unpluged. There's one for the light and four or five on the door module. One of the connectors has a bail similar to the CAN-BUS(where you plug in the Juice) but smaller, it's a PITA. Now just follow the mirror wires and unplug. Have fun

To take the mirror off you need to look at the T.S.B's section of the forum. Scroll down until to second page to find "Electric tow mirror" TSB. Scroll down a little ways to find the TSB which will describe how to find the tab to remove the mirror. Be careful not to break the mirror. I don't know how much more you want to take this thing apart from there but I would think it should expose anything else behind the mirror. Besides the two torx screws on the bottom of the assembly.

Thanks for the info. I did find it:

but can seem to get it off. I am sure it can be painted all together but it would be fully painted that way. Kind of a cheesy way to do it :(
