For 20k miles and your filter in the Pre-OEM position, your fuel filter looks really good. I would stick with your current supplier of fuel! (Look around at some of the other pictures being posted on this website and you will see what I mean).
Fo sho he has a good supplier, wish I could say the same. Your camera doing a good job.

Yup, I am pretty happy with the fuel here. Most of the fuel was bought localy & with a couple of road trips to New Orleans & West Texas. I am still going to wait a while longer before I change out the OEM filter (just to see what will happen) I wonder if I can get 40K on the OEM this time? (cause it's such a Pain to replace) http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Approve.gif
Anyhoo . . thanks for the comments on the camera. It's an Olympus C50 zoom (itty bitty thing), fits in the pocket & looks like it will do a pretty good job!

Aggie,
Have to vote like everybody else on this one, looks just like a final 2mic we changed @ 25k mi which is preceeded by the oem and the Stanadyne 5mic filter/pump/ seperator unit at the frame.
Stanadyne took the licking tho with abt 5 times more crud!
We're also now using the FPPF from Kennedy with a dash of power service.
Is your Cat a 5mic or what?
Thanx, Gben

Sorry Guys,
Must have been one of the zmartest ?'s I've had lately! 1R-0749 right there on the cannister. Maybe I'll try one thats not so difficult.
Don't want to tilt the thread but since you guys are right here; Have you priced Cat Diesel Synthetic oil? It is Delvac 1 under Cat label and they had said abt a year ago it would only be avail in 5gal size.
But sense Xnone took over at Mobil looks like they are turning Mobil 1 into something akin to petro blend with Super Syn. Sooo in light of this scheme we'll be using Delvac 1 in our gas hogs also sense there is no indication Yet that they plan to contaminate it.
Thanx, Gben

The 4x4/SUV synthetic that Mobil is marketing is supposed to be rebadged Delvac1 also. Edited by: Hound
