Got into the truck this evening to go out, turned the key on waited a second or two, everything seemed normal so I turned the key over and it was like the electronics went to hell. I wonder if its the batterys, computer problem, fuses or what. Do you think I will have computer problems. I am going to see about putting two new batterys in tomorrow. At least it happened in the driveway and I didn't have to be anywhere.Any thoughts ?

If they are the original batteries then yes. Dad's truck had one go bad at 26000 miles, seemed like the truck was fine for power but it wouldn't do anything and made the dash do weird crap...

Same here. As soon as I turned it over the dash went haywire. Scared the S**t out of me.

Since dad's truck is an 04 and had 26000 at the time we pulled it in to the dealer and made them mess with it, they claimed it had battery codes in it and they only replaced one battery. One thing anyone running big trucks or tractors will tell you is to replace all batteries at once or the older battery will kill the new one if it is going bad. I tried to get them to replace both but they wouldn't. If they go bad out of warranty I would just buy 2 new batteries.
It wouldn't try to turn the starter at all, it just clicked a solenoid under the hood and that was it. Yet it seemed to have plenty of power for the lights and dash and radio, but the dash was doing weird crap.

At first it looked like the passenger side positive batterie cable corroded off but when we went to the drivers side the positive on it had blown off when I started it last night. We are in the process of putting in two new batteries. I hope that this is all that is wrong.

Got the two new batteries installed, put baking soda and vasaline on the termenals. She turned over like it never had a problem. So far so good for now.
