The other week my WIF light came on. I took a mason quart jar and drained the "water" into the jar.

What is seen in this photo is crud from the dirty side of the filter that came out of the drain on the bottom of the filter. I did not change the filter because I was running low on time. The filter itself has probably 6k miles on it tops. I noticed only a small amount of water on the top of the fuel. My truck only has 18k miles on it currently.

ah, err, hmmm, if it is on *TOP* of the fuel, then it is not water. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Wink.gif

I stand corrected, Oil floats water sinks. It was Water on the bottom.

The price of fuel is not high enough. There adding water to increase their profit. Keep checking, there may be more where that came from.
