Will the hood on the left used on HDs in 2000 (and apparently 1500s in 2000-2002) fit Silverados that look like the 2002 on the right? (I know they changed the entire front end in 2003).

Yes, those two hoods are interchangeable on all NBS Silverados thru 2002.

Despite all the talk about better aerodynamics, I guess "beefier" styling mattered more, and they were trying to differentiate the Silverado from the Sierra.

I have one on my truck. If I can ever get the pictures resized, they will be in my garage.
