The time has finally come to jump on board n'get Juiced, Quaded, TST'ed, Van Atkeened, TTs'ed and/or Banked.
First, I need to install gauges and I feel pretty confident ~thanks to the many posts on the subject~ I can do the install myself.
I've decided I want to go with analog gauges. My question is which brand has the best night illumination?
I'm looking at ISSPRO, Autometer and at Banks gauges...did I miss any other good ones?
Thanks

DiPricol has some nice gauges as well.
Geno's garage carries them IIRC

i had the banks gauges originally which i believe are made by isspro. they worked fine but i have since switched the for the autometer sport-comp's and i feel they are a bit easier to read in both day and night. autometer offers a varity of colors and illumination depending on what you are looking for. i think the sport comp and pro comps match the OEM pretty well. just about every vendor on this forum carries autometer, not sure about isspro.
i know autometer's standard boost gauge is 35psi. if you want a 50 PSI autometer gauge you need the special version from jannetty.

Edge with the attitude is nice and acts as guages. Very easy to read. If your planning on going edge then the cost of the attitude is pretty much the cost of guages/pod plus you get some nifty features. Just another option
I have always liked the vis of my auto meter stuff BTW.

I like the SPA digital dual gauge. The precision is nice, PLUS the recall of max values and programmable warning lights are nice.

http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/uploads/294_word.gif I like the extra features of the SPA plus the added precision. The recall is really handy as things can get busy in a hurry under a full throttle blast and I like being able to keep my eyes on the road. If you want to see what the max boost or EGT was just hit the button.
With them being dual setups you can track just about any four values you would want with two gauges. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Cool.gif I like the look and feel of the analogs but once you try a good digital setup it is hard to go back.

Worrywart,
WOW!!!!! A guy getting gauges first, you are an exceptional owner. We love to see this happen, it lets you "SEE" what you have now and with each seperate mod you do in the future as well as protect your investment etc etc.
We stock all the Auto Meter's as well as the Dipricol's, check the pics on our site to get an idea which "look" you prefer. Both manufacturers have excellent night lighting, one of the reasons we stock them as it's amazing the poor lighting some of them have. Call us if we can answer any questions for you.

I've got the SPA but am struggling with where to locate. Pod is probably where I'll end up. Can you see it ok looking at the tree from either lane? Pics?

I have mine in an A pillar gauge pod. No visibility problems per se but it is hard to watch any gauge and the tree at the same time.
I have a few pics, just have to find them.

The Autometer Lunar series is really cool. Red hands on white faces during the day, and green glow at night. They even dim along with your factory illumination adjustment.
I've got Pyro and Boost mounted in the A pillar pod.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Approve.gif

Hey guys thanks for your help -
Digital guys - I am sure that the extra features of the digital gauges are pretty dandy for you guys that gots lots of aluminum meltin' torque and horses.
When I do get a power adder, I am not gonna go with tire meltin' , tranny crunchin' , thermonuclear magatons of explosive power, so I'm pretty sure I wont be needing all them fancy extra goodies.
I just need a few extra ponies to put a smile on my face and a chirp on my 285's...nothin' more. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Approve.gif
I think the vanilla flavored Juice will do it for me...for now.
Analog guys - okay, you've helped me narrow it down to Autometer and isspro...
Is one more reliable than the other?
Which has better quality?
Can they both be set up to dim along with the the rest of the dashboard lights?
Which is easier to view at night/day?
Nevermind...Diesel Power, I just re-read your post...Autometer it is!

Matador- Thanks! They are cool! Maybe a little too cool for me. I want to get as close to OEM as possible.
