I was told that the LLY's turbo doesn't care for the 15w40 that is recommended for it. That it actually performs better on 10w30. Anybody running 10w30 and if so how is it?

Not sure about LLY vs LB7, but Schaeffer's 15w40 Supreme 7000 Blend is all that I will use. Truck seems to like it and OA's are really good running it at 10k change intervals. Schaeffers even recommends a longer interval, but I feel better changing it at 10k. BTW, I also change the filter at 5k.

Rotella T 15w40 change the oil and filter when the DIC tells me to :rolleyes: :rolleyes:

Valvoline 15w-40 and hastings filter every 5000mi.

currently Rotella 5W-40 synthetic with a Mobil 1 M1-303 filter, change out every 10K. Will go back to Mobil-1 5W-40 synthetic when it shows up in the local wallyworlds...

i used mobile 1 synthetic

I use AmsOil Series 3000 5w-30 with Dual Remote Oil Filtration. 49,000 miles on truck, 38,000 without the drain plug removed. Oil analysis once a year.

Delo 400 15W-40 with AC Delco filter & change it every 5K.

I run Amsoil SAE 30, 63K miles, oil never changed. I run a bypass filter and do oil analysis. Everything has been cool so far.

Schaeffers 5W40 synthetic 7500 miles +/-

M1 5w40 until they pulled it.
Amsoil 15w40 until M1 comes back.

I follow the DIC recommendation for intervals.

M1 5w-40 until I ran out. I use the Mobil 1 filters like Rich except my dual relocation kit uses a different size (see sig.). I am not so patiently waiting for the new Mobil 1 to come out.

I run Mobil Delvac 1300 dino until M-1 turbo diesel shows up around here.
