: Overhead Gauge Mount for my 06? Anyone make one? Trippin wont fit.
NevrEnuf 08-02-2006, 10:14 PM I bought a trippin mount for my 06 but it wont fit the hole.. are there other vendors? The quality of the trippin mount is outstanding but is easily twice the size of the space in my 06.. Where can I find one as good, that fits???
Here is what my console looks like...

RickDLance 08-02-2006, 10:17 PM What are the dimensions of the opening? It doesn't look like the opening is tall enough for the gauge.
minisub 08-02-2006, 11:02 PM That looks like an angry robot and nothing like the overhead in my '06??!!!?
What truck is your "06? (hint, hint, create a signature...)
NevrEnuf 08-02-2006, 11:04 PM The opening itself is approximately 1.280" x 6.050" but the opening could easily be enlarged. There is nothing behind it. I would take a shot a cutting it out myself but the trippin mount only provides about 1/16" of edge so the cutout would have to be absolutely perfect...
Certainly someone has successfully dealt with this setup before...??
RickDLance 08-02-2006, 11:17 PM Sunroof model?
Trippin 08-02-2006, 11:26 PM Yep, that's the sunroof model. :(
I have a switch only mount for that console. Not much else will fit there.
NevrEnuf, sSend your mount back for a full and complete refund.
Riccas 08-02-2006, 11:27 PM It is the sunroof model with homelink. I have the same one. I am buying one off a suburban with temp controls. It has the sunroof button and homelink, all i need to do is pop out the climate controls. Already spoke with Trippin' and e said it will work. So.... look into getting a suburban overhead console or sell me your mount real cheap
NevrEnuf 08-02-2006, 11:32 PM Trippin .. thanks for the response.. I am very impressed with the quality of the mount, I hate to send it back!
Riccas .. awesome!.. so, I just order a Denali console and I'm good to go!.. Thanks very much..
These kind of solutions continue to reinforce the value of this forum!!!!:ro)
Best regards

The mount will fit in the console you described. However, I'm concerned that the overall length of that console is longer than the Sunroof model.
NevrEnuf 08-03-2006, 12:02 AM I traded an 06 Denali with Homelink, Sunroof, and Rear AC controls for my 2500HD and it is still on the lot.. I'll do some measuring tomorrow and let y'all know..!

Did the Denali console work?
MYY2KHOG 08-15-2006, 11:58 AM I too am stuck with this problem. Any updates?
Trafficdude 09-07-2006, 08:46 PM I was wondering if maybe the X-Monitor removed from the enclosure would fit in there with a special-built Trippin mount. The display on the X-monitor is 2" x 4" x 1". Something's gotta fit in there!! :(
Quick 6 Racing 09-09-2006, 11:06 PM How about trying a Autometer above mirror gauge mount ?
Trafficdude 09-09-2006, 11:51 PM I was thinking of that but that useless hole needs to have something stuffed into it!
hjrichan 09-14-2006, 04:14 PM I traded an 06 Denali with Homelink, Sunroof, and Rear AC controls for my 2500HD and it is still on the lot.. I'll do some measuring tomorrow and let y'all know..!

Did you ever get the Denali console work?????? :help2: :help2: :help:
Mad_At_M 09-14-2006, 07:38 PM I guess NevrEnuf is still working on it. Man that is a time consuming console mount as it appears he has been working on it since the first part of August. LOL.
Come on NevrEnuf........We need the info bro......
Mad_At_M 09-14-2006, 09:08 PM Well.....After further evaluation I found this: My wife has a 2003 Yukon XL with homelink, rear ac, etc. That console will not fit in my 2006 LBZ with a sun roof. My console is around 10.5" in length and hers is 14". It is less than 14" from the front of my console to the sunroof.....No Go For Me, unless the Denali overhead is different.
