Yesterday I had the new truck at my buddys shop getting new tires. While on the rack I noticed that they changed the tie rod design from my '04. They now have a hex half way up larger than the rest of the diameter. Looks to be for a open end wrench for adjustment. So thread on tie rod sleeves will not work with the OEM ties rods. I will try to take pics this afternoon.

I just put a set on an 07 dmax a week ago. They looked the same to me. They still fit ok.

I tried putting the sleeves from my '04 on the new one and they won't fit past the hex. Maybe vendor change? I will post a pic as soon as it stops raining.

They need some more relief in there for them (which I do now). If you get a chance to send them to me, I'll fix them to fit. If not, give me a call and I'll tell you what you need to do so they'll work. This truck I put them on wasn't the new body style however. But it was an 07. So well see what they have come up with now for the new trucks or if they changed any.
