Im not sure where in NY that is...but back in Western NY, between buffalo and rochester, most stations seem to be in the 1.80-1.89. The flying J in Pembroke (just west of buffalo) was like 1.72 mid last week when i checked....Sorry i cant be more specfic to the area, but diesel seems to be about 20-25cents cheaper than 87...Edited by: Polarbear

Diesel is back down here to about 1.58 a gallon. Some places offer a discount if you use their gas card, I know you get like 3 cents off at Citgo. I usually get diesel there.

WOW!!! That seems crazy high our area( Im 1hr west of rochester), but I guess diesel might not be a big mover over there.
What brought you over to our area, I was up there sat night for a bachelor party...http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif

Wife was taking a "Voodoo Magic" course. (I always get a smack, when I call it thathttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Approve.gif ) Reiki. Energy healing.
I'm petty sure it was $2.12. The station was a two word name. First had three letters in it. (I think?) Never heard of it, before the weekend.
Bachelor part sounds kinda neat.... details would be good.

In Orange County, CA, saw $2.19 at a Union 76 station the other day for #2 diesel. About a $0.20 drop over the last week and a half for diesel fuel.

On the other hand, gasoline prices appear to be on the rise again.Edited by: OC_DMAX

why the huge difference in diesel prices? is it local taxes? gasoline is no where near that different

Max Owner

Hey, all. I know for a fact it was over $2 a gal. Maybe $2.09. But I still think it $2.12. I had to get directions, and drive a ways to find diesel. It was a big station. Car wash. Might have been a chain, in the town of Rochester. Had to pay cash first, before pumping. The station just had someone drive away, without paying for $27 worth of gas. The station had video cameras lined up at all the pumps, for catching peoples plates. As the prices climb, I 'm sure we'll see alot more of this stuff.
I missed the sign for the Flying J, on the way in on 390. All I saw was a Mobile or Exxon. Trees blocked the sign, and saw it on the way out of town. Figures.
Station may have been on Main?

If you're taking I80 through northern Nevada and need fuel at Elko, fuel at the stations south of the 301 exit ($2.08 pg average, Conoco and 66). The 303 exit stations are gouging ($2.29pg and up, 2-Chevron's and a Tesoro). The 76 station in town is around $2.16pg. If you search for the Sinclair's north of the freeway, they are the cheepest, but I don't like the ownership of either, so I spend the extra couple of cents elsewhere.
