Bought a 5500 quietpact Gererac generator for my 5th wheel. Need to know which wires to hook up from generator. 5th wheel(CedarCreek)is prewired for generator has black(hot) & white wire coming from transfer box (30 amp service). Generator has 5 wires 2 white, and a red and black hot wires plus green ground in wire loom.Do I just hook up one set of wires red & white or black & white? Generator has two breakers so I assume each set has its own breaker. Instuctions leave a lot to be desired with both trailer and generator. Thanks

if it is 120 volt i wonder if it is stator wound with two seperate coils. double copper, double amperage. its very hard two guess the connections if i could look at it i could wire it in a matter of minuets. white is always used as neutral , black and red are hot green is ground. its dangerous and i wouldnt recomend anyone trying this but if the output wires were secured from shorting together and completely seperated. a compotent person could read voltage with voltmeter between white(neut)and black, red if 120 then between black and red if 0 potential then black and red are common
