Is the scan Gauge II worth the $170.00. My truck does not have fuel milage and stuff on the dic so i thought it would be nice to have.

From what I have heard they are great, however I don't know if they will work on the 06 Duramax due to a different computer system.

The ScanGauge will work on any vehicle that has an OBD II port. However, not all of the functions may work such a fuel system pressure on Ford products and some other off the wall stuff.
I have a 2006 GMC 4500 with the LBY and the ScanGauge has been worth every penny of the $169 I paid for it. All of the functions applicable to a Duramax appear to work fine. The info is very helpful.
Also Linear Logic is also very helpful and responsive in answering any questions you may have.

It has saved me the $169 in fuel savings alone. I haul trailers and instant mileage feedback is priceless.

Using MAP for boost guage.

Have cleared codes as well. Just a code scanner will run you $70

Well worth it:ro)

IMO it is worth the $160. being able to monitor intake air temp, boost, coolant temp, % load, etc. and read codes along with mpg readout is great and way less cost than adding steering wheel controls for the DIC. Also the new version is much nicer looking and smaller.
